It looks like it's time to get schwifty. Rick and Morty overtook Family Guy, The Simpsons, and South Park as the most popular adult cartoon among millennials. The intelligent yet crude comedy uses the existence of several universes to create an epic sci-fi adventure that walks the line between offensive and hilarious. Morty, a young naive student, and Rick, an alcoholic genius, travel through different universes and leave mayhem in their wake. Adult Swim's generation influencing series Rick and Morty will be making the leap from television to music this Fall when their album drops. Reaching and exhausting length of 26 tracks, the Rick and Morty Soundtrack will feature music from the show, as well as new tunes from Blonde Redhead, Chaos Chaos, Mazzy Star, and Belly, clipping., and Chad VanGaalen.
According to Fader, the album will be available as a" deluxe box set featuring an exclusive portal vinyl housed in a box with an etched plexiglass window with LED lights which make the etching glow." A custom poster, sticker, patch, and a bonus 7” single will also be included. The "Rick and Morty Theme" and "Goodbye Moonmen" can be streamed in the iTunes store now.
