The King Of The Teens continues to do right by his loyal subjects. As we know, Boat was recently tapped to hold it down as Green Lantern in the upcoming Teen Titans Go movie, which also stars Will Arnett, James Corden, Halsey, Nicolas Cage, Kristen Bell and more. With the animated, youth-friendly flick set to hit theaters on July 27th, Boat has already begun promoting his upcoming foray into the animated realm. The rapper threw up a teaser on the Gram, which briefly highlights Green Lantern. Briefly being the key word.
In the clip, Boat's Green Lantern pokes fun at his cinematic predecessor, which starred Ryan Reynolds in the titular role. If you haven't seen that one, don't worry - you're not alone. The 2011 movie was pretty much unanimously panned, and let's just say that Reynolds was far better suited to play Deadpool. Granted, Lil Yachty's take on the character is confined to a children's movie, but perhaps his presence bodes well for a future live action adaptation. Only time will tell.
