Coming off the drop of her GOOD Music project Keep The Same Energy, Teyana Taylor has been steady embarking on the interview circuit. Today, she took some time to chop it up with radio icon Angie Martinez, in which they spoke about threesomes, working with Yeezy, and more.
It's no secret that Teyana's feelings toward KTSE are tinged with a sense of unfulfilled expectations, even though critical consensus has been positive. While label boss Pusha T blessed us with a hilarious impression of a Teyana Taylor scorned, the reality is, the young talent felt some of her hard work was sacrificed in the name of adhering to Yeezy's seven-song conceit.
She proceeds to elaborate on the nature of her frustration, explaining "with the songs that only had one verse on there, I had completed all the songs. So it was like, to hear a version with missing verses it was like--" She lets her deadpan expression speak for itself. "As far as verses being missing, I don't got no excuse for that. I don't know why the verses was missing." She does, however, share a little gem for those keeping score, revealing that she has already begun working on a Ty Dolla $ign collaboration tape.
