In celebration of Nike Air Max Day today, March 26, Nike has teamed up with HQ Trivia to become one of the game's first corporate sponsors and advertisers. In addition to the regular HQ trivia games at 3 p.m. and 9 p.m. eastern time, Nike will sponsor a surprise bonus round with a $100,000 grand prize, according to reports.
On top of the $100,000 bounty, HQ and Nike will also reportedly hook up 100 people with "a prize that money can't buy," which we can only assume is one of the limited edition Air Maxes releasing today, such as the sold out Sean Wotherspoon x Nike Air Max 97/1 hybrid sneaker.
According to reports, HQ trivia will also have a $250,000 grand prize game on Wednesday, which will be sponsored by the upcoming Steven Spielberg film Ready Player One. HQ's largest jackpot to date has been $50,000, won by a single player on Sunday night, according to MacRumors.
It hasn't been announced when the Nike x HQ Trivia $100,000 game will begin today, so players will need to keep a close watch on their phones today for the notification that could come at anytime.
