NBA legend Charles Oakley was reportedly arrested at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas earlier this week for allegedly trying to cheat the casino. According to TMZ Sports, Oakley "was suspected of adding to or reducing his wager on a gambling game after the outcome was known."
TMZ Sports reports, "Unclear what game he was playing at the time -- but one source with knowledge of the incident says Oak tried to pull back a $100 chip after he realized he was going to lose."
Oak, 54, was confronted about the incident and after a security team reviewed the casino's video footage it was determined that he had cheated. He was then taken into custody at 5:30 PM and booked into Clark County Detention Center. He reportedly faces one to six years in prison if convicted of the charge of "committing or attempting to commit a fraudulent act in a gaming establishment."
However, according to TMZ, Oakley's reps say, "This is an insignificant matter that will be quickly resolved."
