NBA Hall of Famer Dennis Rodman was in Singapore yesterday while North Korean leader Kim Jong Un met with President Donald Trump to discuss nuclear weapons, but he wasn't actually a part of their sit down.
While the Trump-Kim Summit was ongoing, Rodman joined CNN's Chris Cuomo to share his feelings about their meeting and weeped as he discussed how he received "so many death threats" and had to "hide out for 30 days" when he came home from North Korea in 2014.
"I don't want to see that, I want to see it go away... I want to see us get along. Have a handshake, have a smile, have a glass of iced tea. I don't need to worry about the war stuff, I don't know anything about that," he said.

“I said to everybody, the door will open,” Rodman said, his voice cracking with emotion. “It’s amazing, it’s amazing, it’s amazing, when I said those things, when I went back home, I got so many death threats, and I believed in North Korea, and I couldn’t go home, I couldn’t even go home, I had to hide out for 30 days, but I kept my head high, and I knew things were going to change.

I knew it. I was the only one.”

Rodman's trip to Singapore was reportedly funded by Potcoin, a marijuana cryptocurrency, and he wore the Potcoin t-shirt throughout his visit. That said, he told Cuomo that he was not "in this for the money."
"I'm not in this for no money. I never started it for no money. This is not about Dennis Rodman being the greatest person in the world, bringing the countries together," said Rodman.

Last week President Trump said Rodman had not been invited to Singapore for the Summit, but "The Worm" and his agent say the five-time NBA champion was contacted, and thanked, by the White House.
