Young Thug, Swae Lee, and Mike WiLL Made-It are emerging as an excellent trifecta. Following up the SR3MM highlight "Offshore," whereupon Young Thug absolutely went off over an atmospheric Mike WiLL soundscape, the trio have come through with the up-tempo "Fate." Arriving courtesy of the star-studded Creed II: The Album, "Fate" is more caress than haymaker, though Thugger's jittery energy makes for plenty of bobbing-and-weaving.
Every so often, King Slime absolutely goes off in his own unique way, conjuring up all manner of vocal trickery throughout his dexterous pair of verses. Swae Lee keeps the straight face by default, proving that dulcet tones aren't his only claim to fame. The young singer has a keen melodic ear, making him a worthy foil for Jeffery's unrestrained musicality. It was a formula that worked wonderfully on "Offshore," and now, "Fate" has given us ample reason to covet another round.
Quotable Lyrics
I jump off a jet to a building
I take care of everybody billings
I wish they can stop with the killing
I thought you didn't need me, they kneeling
Ain't telling my business, they winning, winning
