SZA just shared a book recommendation with her fanbase. She uploaded a photo of a book cover to her Instagram account with a caption that reads, "Your wife is lovely Hubble." The book in question is a New York Times best-seller that was penned by Clarissa Pinkola Estés. The 1992 publication is considered a classic amongst women. Women who Run with the Wolves: Myths and Stories of the Wild Woman Archetype is considered a self-help book and it seems like SZA is following Jada Pinkett Smith in her desire to share this help with her following.
The caption may seem enigmatic at first to some, but movie buff will recognize it as a famous line in the romantic film called The Way We Were. The original quote spoken by the movie's leading lady, Barbara Streisand, was "your girl is lovely, Hubbell," in reference to her past lover's new girlfriend. A newfound freedom for the singer can be interpreted from her inclusion of the quote within the context of her reading a book on "the wild woman archetype."
According to her twitter, the CTRL artist might have learned some life lessons recently. As usual, she shares the wisdom with her following.
Also, she's ready to kick ass in the booth too. If this is what feminine energy stands for, we're here for it.
