North Cali's XO Music Fest has been annulled. The Festival promised a fairly similar luxury template as the now infamous Fyre Festival. The three-day weekend was being hyped as a showcase for over 150 artist including Ludacris, Flavor Flav, Vanilla Ice, and T.I. among others. Guests were to be treated to full spread of beer, wine and food options, but alas weak ticket sales have spelled the event's downfall.
According to a statement released by organizers, the low ticket sales were the cause of wrongful accusations via the media: "Today we are deeply disappointed to have to announce that due to lower than anticipated ticket sales and in part due to the fact that there were some negative media reports targeting us, with which we strongly disagree. XO Music Festival scheduled to occur on July 13 will be postponed to another time to be announced at a future date."
The local Police office in Antioch had received multiple complaints leading up to penciled dates of July 12-15. Apparently the organizers were not able to meet their agreed-upon rental fees, leading to Event Park CEO Joe Brengle releasing a statement of his own condemning the Festival committee. Amplify has since learned that one of the organizers was booked in February and charged with 40 felonies.
