Tennesse rapper Swerzie and his fellow Icy Rotten crew have quietly built a solid body of work. He was recently featured in a 6-track EP titled Ice The World with fellow Icy Rotten crew members Aftertheparty, Lil Shrub, and Downtime.
The rapper's work is largely considered to be underground —a fact that Swerzie is admittedly quite proud of. "In my opinion, underground rappers are better," he said in an interview with 7xfs. "They put in hard work into what they do. Most of them don’t have songwriters, they don’t have producers and/or engineers to make their music sound like heaven, & they put in more effort than a mainstream artist."
In this track, both Lil West and Swerzie showcases gritty, and hard-hitting flow. Check it out below.
Quotable Lyrics
Don't jump in my karma if you ain't about profit
Wake up being broke, I could never, I'm not it
I chase for that bag, ain't no plan to be stopping
