While this news hasn't been confirmed by the artist himself yet, it's been reported that Andre 3000 will be releasing a solo effort in 2014, on top of the Jimi Hendrix biopic he's starring in.
The report comes from Stephen G. Hill, the President of Music Programming and Specials for BET Networks. Hill was backstage at Lil Wayne and T.I.'s America's Most Wanted Tour in Washington, D.C. last night and spoke to Three Stacks who shared some exciting information-- we'll be getting new music from the Outkast member at the top of the year.
That's all we've heard about it for now, so we'll keep you posted when any more details surface.
[UPDATE: A Rep For Andre 3000 Says Album Is Not Confirmed]
This weekend Andre 3000 made headlines across the web when it was rumored he'd be dropping a new solo album in 2014. He had reportedly shared the information himself with Stephen Hill, who works over at BET.
Now a rep for the rapper has spoken to Billboard, saying that a solo album for 2014 has not been officially confirmed. This doesn't mean it's not going to happen-- it's possible that it still could, but it hasn't been locked in yet!
"Regarding reports of a specific plan to release an album in early 2014," the rep says, "There is no official confirmation on that report."
