Lil Wayne & Birdman have had a tumultuous past. Following their extremely close relationship, things fell flat after a widely publicized dispute between Lil Wayne and Cash Money Records, which Birdman founded. Lawsuits were filed and both sides came to a disbanding of their once tightly-knit family. Birdman has always referred to Weezy as his "son," endearingly bringing the two closer together and making their eventual disowning all the more shocking. While it has been reported that the two have been trying for months to patch things up and squash their beef, that day may finally be here.
Birdman posted a photo on his Instagram page showing him and Wayne chumming it up for the camera and throwing up signs. The post is just one extra hint that the duo is past the drama and ready to move on as a "family." Bringing further evidence to the claims that their beef has been squashed is Birdman's caption, in which he writes, "Me and my SON #YMCMBEAST." Birdman has promised that Tha Carter V will be dropping this year as it has been held back for years following the mutual legal misunderstandings.
From the looks of it, Birdman and Lil Wayne are trying their absolute hardest to mend their broken relationship for the betterment of their careers. Tunechi has worked closely with Birdman in the past, releasing many classics under his wing. It's a sign in the right direction for the two to be so receptive to one another.
