The second installment may have a set date.

Marvel is known to be mad low key when it comes to film and sequel announcements for all of its work. We know that one of the next offerings from the MCU will be Spider-Man: Far From Home that arrives July 2019 and that title alone was leaked by the lead actor, Tom Holland. But one film that many MCU fans are most curious about is Black Panther's sequel, and according to a new theory, we may know the release date.

Comic Book Resources noticed that Disney shuffled its releases on its 2020-2022 calendar by further delaying Indian Jones 5, but also moving a premiere date for an unknown film earlier by five months - from July 30, 2021 to February 12, 2021. Moving around a film's release is normal, but what makes is stand out is the date since it's three years almost to the day of the first film.

Marvel also has a thing for certain films owning certain months. For example, Thor movies have dropped in November, Spider Man in July, all Iron Man flicks in May, so it's only assumed that Black Panther is coming February 12, 2021 - right?

“One of the favorite pastimes at Marvel Studios is sitting around on a Part One and talking and dreaming about what we would do ina Part Two,” Marvel Studios CEO Kevin Feige said in March. “There have been plenty of those conversations as we were putting together the first Black Panther.” He added that No. 2 already has a “solid direction.”
