Billboard has started to follow the trend of big collaborations, which seems to dominate urban music, and has set up some monster collabo performances at this year’s Billboard Music Awards. Some of the biggest names in hip hop, and in music, will take the stage together as Lil Wayne and Nicki Minaj are set to perform together.
The YMCMB duo will perform a cut off Minaj’s re-issued Pink Friday: Roman Reloaded – The Re-Up, called “High School.” Chart topping indie darlings, Macklemore & Ryan Lewis will be performing their wildly successful single “Thrift Shop.” Even Justin Bieber will be part of a group performance as he joins Pitbull along with Jennifer Lopez.
A few of the most influential figures in R&B will be performing solo as well. Miguel will sing his smooth breakthrough single “Adorn,” and Bruno Mars is slated to take the mic. Even Chris Brown is expected to perform solo.
Set to air this Sunday, you can catch the Billboard Music Awards on May 19th.
