Akon may deliver a quality performance for his fans, but for concert workers there appears to be a risk of injury. The singer is currently being sued by a concert worker who says he's physically disabled due to an injury Akon caused when he stage dove right on top of him.
Matthew Graham filed the lawsuit against Akon, claiming that he was working at the singer's show at BayFest music festival in Alabama in 2009 when Akon "negligently or wantonly leapt into the overcrowded mass of concertgoers" and hit him.
Graham says the incident resulted in severe damage to his knee, back, head, and body, so that he is now physically disabled, although he did not detail the extent of his disablity.
TMZ reports that Graham is suing Akon as well as BayFest Inc. for medical expenses, lost wages, physical pain and mental anguish. He's demanding unspecified damages.
