Nowadays if you're a rapper it seems like it's almost necessary that you have a movement for fans to identify with, as well as crew and label imprint, all along the same lines as your movement. This is the case for Bad Boy Records' Machine Gun Kelly, who, although he hasn't been in the rap game for too long, has already started his own label imprint, EST. 19XX.
Today MGK announced the singing of a fellow Cleveland native to the imprint, Ray Jr. MGK spoke on his new signee, who he's collaborated with in the past, saying that he's been a fan of the rappr since high school.
"I've been a fan of Ray [Jr.] since I was in high school," said Kelly. "The streets fuck with him whether he's making music or not and That type of power is undeniable. This m'fucka hasn't went one year without giving Cleveland a banger that you hear in every club in the city, now it's time for the rest of the world to hear."
Look out for Machine Gun Kelly's Black Flag mixtape to drop in the near future. Ray Jr. released a collaboration with Problem yesterday, "Champagne Spillin."
