Jahlil Okafor's NBA career isn't over just yet - he's getting another chance to prove he's not a bust.

According to reports, the former third overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft has agreed to a deal with the New Orleans Pelicans which includes a partial guarantee for the 2018-19 season and a team option for the following season.

Okafor, 22, was traded from the Philadelphia 76ers to the Brooklyn Nets last December, but appeared in only 26 games for the Nets while averaging just 6.4 points and under three rebounds in roughly 12 minutes of action per game.

During his rookie season with the Sixers in 2016, the former Duke Blue Devil started 48 games, averaged 17.5 points and 7 rebounds per night, and was named to the NBA's All-Rookie team. The term "bust" certainly didn't apply.

However, Okafor's minutes and numbers drastically decreased in his second season and he ultimately found himself riding the bench in Brooklyn this past season. Now, he'll look to resurrect his young career as a backup on the Pelicans, a team that lost All-Star center DeMarcus Cousins via free agency, but also signed former Lakers' forward, Julius Randle.
