There are few things more disgusting and detestable than taking advantage of a dying elderly person. That's exactly what three Hospice workers did to a dying stroke victim last month. According to 11Alive, Jorden Lanah Bruce, Lizeth Jocelyn Cervantes Ramirez, and Mya Janai Moss were all arrested and charged with exploitation and intimidation of disabled adults.
Bruce, Ramirez, and Moss were all assigned to watch over a patient that had suffered a brutal stroke at the Bentley Assisted Living at Northminster, in Jefferson, Georgia. While watching the patient, the three ladies mocked her condition while filming a Snapchat video they entitled "The End." At one point, one of the ladies smokes a vape pen in the room while the patient was off-screen. Cynthia Archer, the executive director of the assisted living facility, was shown the video by another employee, and immediately identified Bruce, Ramirez, and Moss. Jefferson Police Detective Jay Parker stated that, "They were obviously more interested in playing on the phone and making the video and cutting up and making a joke of the situation. My understanding is that the hospice nurse had been contacted, and these employees were supposed to be watching the female, and obviously that wasn't happening." Parker says Moss and Bruce have been released on bond. The federal Department of Immigration and Customs Enforcement has asked that Ramirez continues to be held. On Tuesday, the ladies earned Charlamagne tha God's "Donkey of the Day" award.
