Brad Pitt wasn't the only unexpected cameo in the second instalment of Marvel's Deadpool. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the man behind the flick, Ryan Reynolds AKA Deadpool himself hopped into the character of Juggernaut in a move that was also unexpected by his castmates.
"I didn't know who was going to be doing the voice of Juggernaut," Stefan Kapicic, who plays Colossus, tells the publication. "Ryan is always there when I'm working on Colossus, helping me with the lines and giving me ideas. Then I saw Ryan getting into the CGI costume, and I'm like, 'What's going on, man? Did I miss something?'"
Ryan reportedly provided the voice and facial performance for Juggernaut while trained stuntman stepped in for high impact CGI moments. The film pulled in $732 million worldwide and as for the future of the franchise, Ryan has explained how he wants to experiment with his character's sexuality.
“I certainly think that this universe... needs to represent and reflect the world in very real ways,” he said. “The great thing about Deadpool is that we’re allowed to do things that other superhero movies don’t necessarily do. It’s something that I’d love to see more of, certainly through Wade, certainly through this universe because it’s something that we’re building out more.”
