Swedish singer Lykke Li has been relatively absent from the music scene for a while, having gone four years without releasing an album. While she may have simply taken time for herself, it becomes increasingly apparent that she was working on an upcoming album. Having worked on features and guest spots, Lykke Li fans have been patiently awaiting any news of the artist's fourth album, which has finally come today. Announcing that she would be releasing So Sad So Sexy on June 8, the Swedish star revealed the project's tracklist and album cover whilst releasing two brand new songs simultaneously.
She will be going it alone primarily on So Sad So Sexy, aside from a lone Aminé feature. Available now for pre-order, the first two songs have already dropped, giving her supporters an eye into what can be expected. The news of a fresh album is unsurprising as the singer has been hinting at upcoming music for a while, tweeting that "brand new Lykke songs" were on the way. Li's last album I Never Learn was adored by fans and critics alike and if it hints at any sort of future direction she will be taking, so will So Sad So Sexy.
The release of both "Hard Rain" and "Deep End" build high anticipation for the project, which will be released on the same day as Kanye and Kid Cudi's joint album. Check out the new tracks below and let us know if you're excited for new Lykke Li.
