With an overabundance of festivals these days, it can be difficult to decide which ones are worth it to attend. Usually, the decision comes down to whichever event has the better line-up in your city. Luckily, most cities in North America have at least one festival dedicated to music on an annual basis. If you live in a major market, there could be many events around you that seem interesting. In a city like Atlanta, there is never a shortage of methods to celebrate the culture. Home of some of the greatest hip-hop artists of past and current generations, ATL is a hotspot for rap music and it was only right for them to celebrate some of the hottest acts out right now in their line-up.
Getting more and more comfortable with the festival stage, both Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone are penciled in as headliners alongside Imagine Dragons and Fall Out Boy. The mid-card brings some of the most talented musicians today to Atlanta with Khalid, Janelle Monae, Chromeo, SAINt JHN and SiR all included as performers. Would it even be an ATL event without the legend himself, Gucci Mane, getting some time on the mic? The city's own Guwop is bound to bring out a huge hometown crowd to enjoy Georgia's largest music festival.
Live Nation Atlanta President, Peter Conlon, spoke about Music Midtown with high praise, saying, "This year’s lineup and experience represents our city." Festival tickets will be on sale this Friday at 10 AM. Check out the full lineup below.
