Last month, Lil Wayne told fans at Story Nightclub in Miami that he just had a meeting with his label to discuss possible release dates for his long awaited Carter V album, and now it looks he might've just shot the cover for it or so we hope anyways.
On Monday night, famed videographer/photographer, Nabil Elderkin, took to his IG and shared a picture of him & Lil Wayne standing in front of a blue backdrop, while hinting to us that they’re shooting the Carter V album cover. “Back at it a couple Carter’s later 🎯,” he captioned the post.
Nabil is known for being the man behind the lens, having collaborated with the likes of Kanye West, Frank Ocean, SZA, John Legend, and many others over the years. Now it’s not technically confirmed that they were shooting for C5 as we're only speculating at this time off his caption, but they definitely did some sort of photoshoot, and it does add up.
This photo surfaces just days after Lil Wayne suffered a leak with the song “Quasimodo,” which you can listen to right here if you missed it.
