Vince Vaughn has been arrested for driving under the influence, reports TMZ. The 48-year-old actor was taken into police custody at around 4AM Sunday in Manhattan Beach, just 30 minutes south of Los Angeles, according to law enforcement. He has yet to be releaased.
A source claims that Vaughn was stopped at a checkpoint and had a passenger in the car with him. If he is charged with a DUI, it will be his first.
Vaughn representatives have not made an official statement on the arrest.
Last year, Vaughn starred in the action thriller Brawl In Cell Block 99. His new film Fighting With My Family is currently in post-production. Outside of his recent work, Vaughn is known for his acting roles in Swingers (1996), Wedding Crashers (2005) and True Detective (2015). In 2016, it was reported that a sequel to Wedding Crashers was in the works. "I bumped into Vince Vaughn at a party and he said that apparently we’re going to be making a sequel," said costar Isla Fisher. "So I’m really excited to see what happened to Gloria ... I shouldn’t really announce it on morning television… But apparently there’s some talk of it, which is fun."
Vaughn is currently filming Dragged Across Concrete, an action thriller where he will star alongside Mel Gibson. It is scheduled for release in 2019.
