Sister Jean's Loyola-Chicago Ramblers are moving on to the Elite 8 in the NCAA Tournament.

Following a pair of last second victories against Miami and Tennessee in the first weekend of play, Loyola-Chicago once again found themselves in a nail biter in last night's Sweet 16 matchup against the #7 Nevada Wolfpack. And once again, Loyola-Chicago prevailed.

The Ramblers, an 11-seed that many believed could win a game or two but few pegged to reach the Elite 8, were led by junior guard Marques Townes who scored a team-high 18 points, including a dagger three pointer to give the Ramblers a four-point cushion with 6 seconds remaining. According to ESPN, Townes had scored only a combined 15 points in Loyola's first two NCAA tournament games.

"I'll probably remember it for the rest of my life," Townes said. "I mean, it doesn't really get any better than that."

Elsewhere in the South Region, the #9 Kansas State Wildcats held on for a 61-58 win over the Kentucky Wildcats, which was the school's first ever victory against Big Blue Nation. As a result, we'll see an improbable 9 v 11 matchup in the Elite 8. That game will take place tomorrow night on TBS, airing at 6:09pm ET.

According to ESPN's Darren Rovell, of the 17.3 million bracket that were filled out on ESPN, only 17,676 accurately predicted that we'd be seeing the Loyola-Chicago Ramblers vs the Kansas State Wildcats with a trip to the Final Four on the line. Yet, here we are.
