Of all the stars that have broken out this year, one of the most surprising has been BlocBoy JB. The Memphis product came from out of nowhere, blowing up seemingly overnight to publicize the hottest dance in the world and collaborate with Drake. If BlocBoy wasn't on anybody's radar before this year, you better believe people are keeping watch now. Earlier in 2018, BlocBoy made his debut when he dropped Simi and he's already back with a few more songs, dropping a collection of seven new tracks for the fans to eat up.
Last week, the artist shared the cover art for Don't Think That and now, we're able to listen to the new EP in its entirety. The 15-minute project features appearances from Lil Uzi Vert, HoodRich Pablo Juan and, of course, production from his boy Tay Keith. BlocBoy and Tay Keith go back to the beginning as their come-ups happened at the same time. Each gained fame and notoriety through their work as a collective and now, they're experiencing success as separate entities. We're surprised to hear yet another variation of Ronny J's "Costa Rica" sample here as Bhad Bhabie also tackled the loop on "Gucci Flip Flops" but BlocBoy seems destined to do his thing over the instrumental on "Don't Say That" with Uzi.
BlocBoy is growing into a sound that fits him well. What do you think of his latest effort?
