At the beginning of the month, T.I. released his much-anticipated tenth studio album. Dime Trap features a few tracks that we've been expecting for a while, including the Atlanta rapper's collaboration with Young Thug. "The Weekend" was previewed a year ago and we hadn't gotten to hear the full track until a few days before Dime Trap arrived. This year, T.I. has been re-establishing himself as the founder of trap music and he's making sure people don't misunderstand the subgenre as "one-dimensional" as he explains in the new video for "The Weekend."
Tip's collaboration with Young Thug and Swizz Beatz has just gotten some new visuals as T.I. and Thugger hit a wild party during their off days. The video is incredibly intricate too as you can see that a lot of thought was put into its creation. In fact, it's more of a short film than a typical music video as there's a clear plot going on on the screen. "The Weekend" is not what some would call one-dimensional trap music. There are elements to the song and video that make it just as special as any other musical genre.
Take a look at the story, which was written by T.I., in the video above.
