Fear of God recently debuted their Essentials diffusion line, which offers their unique brand of clothing to a clientele that cannot generally afford the exorbitant price tags that accompany their runway and seasonal collections. The company has since geared up with retailer PacSun to hawk their full range of gear for anyone who missed their opportunity during the initial launch on SSENSE.
This offering contains the casual staples Fear of God has mastered in their rapid ascent to streetwear dominance, as the Essentials line-up will include hoodies, shirts, tees, drop-crotched sweatpants, alongside a bevy of outerwear options from coaches jackets to overcoats. Neutral tones dominant the collection, which will allow each individual piece to compliment a wearer's existing wardrobe choices.
Jerry Lorenzo, the brand's creative director, reveals that he wanted to "create an honest collection that addressed essentials needs in your wardrobe at an accessible price… to create elevated shapes and silhouettes that work together like legos or tetris. Building on one another and not interrupting your current closet. It was important that this collection felt honest and not watered down from our mainline. It’s essentially what you need."
The Essentials line will debut online today, with a brick and mortar release scheduled for tomorrow.
