Arriving a few hours early, Quavo’s highly anticipated debut solo album, Quavo Huncho is finally here. The Migos frontman just debuted the new album Thursday night on DJ Khaled’s We The Best radio show on Beats 1, and boy is it a monster. The project contains a whopping 19 tracks in total and features guest appearances from some of the biggest names in music, including Drake, Travis Scott, Cardi B, Kid Cudi, Madonna, Lil Baby, and of course his two Migos bandmates Takeoff & Offset, among many others.
Looking to highlight one of the tracks for y’all, here goes the collab with Drake titled “Flip The Switch,” which derives from Drizzy’s own lyrics in his song “Nonstop.” Over production from CuBeatz & Wheezy, Quavo mimics the flow of Juvenile’s 1998 hit “Ha” while rapping about “this shit reminds me of the 90’s into the 2000’s.” The record follows up the two's latest collab "Bigger Than You" with 2 Chainz.
Take a listen to the new collab and let us know what you think. The record, and the rest of Quavo Huncho, is available now iTunes.
Quotable Lyrics:
Aye, aye, I got shorties out tryna find me, that look
Slipping through the cracks
'Cause I'm slimy, I slipped
Chain wetter than a river you could cry me
Quit the Timberlake, oh bitch
Now she despise me, I swear
I just let the money energize me
Nigga, you was in your 20's in the '90's, yeah
I just order Phantoms off the website
They ask how I want the shit, I say, "Surprise me"
