She may have started the year with a few quiet months, enjoying time away from the spotlight during a social media hiatus, but Nicki Minaj is making sure to close 2018 by flexing on everybody. She's been the Queen for so long and now, with femcees striving in the world of hip-hop, Nicki may be feeling a push to raise the bar even higher than she's set it in the past. We've become accustomed to Nicki dominating the charts and although she may have been pressed about debuting at #2 with Queen, that's still quite an impressive feat. Her latest assignment happens to be one that is sure to get her a decent amount of radio play and streams as she's featured on the latest Little Mix single.
Little Mix is a British girl group that has taken the world by storm and while they may not be considered hip-hop in the slightest, they certainly crawl into the depths of R&B. The group focuses on a more pop-oriented approach though, recruiting Nicki to give them a little boost. "Woman Like Me" has all the makings of a radio hit. We've got a rap feature, a nice, eclectic range of vocals, and a bouncy drop leading to the hook. This song could potentially be the next overplayed sensation.
Available now in select international markets, Little Mix's new single will be available at midnight in North America.
Quotable Lyrics:
Tell em there's a bad Trini b*tch in your area
But the more bad b*tches, then the more merrier
Baddies to my left and to the right a little scarier
Rude boy, tell me, can you handle all this derriere?
