Mick Jenkins has announced a new project Pieces Of Man. In an interview with Zane Lowe on Beats 1, where he also premiered his new track "Bruce Banner," the Chicago rapper revealed that the forthcoming effort will arrive this fall.

"I've got big collaborators on production and I got big names on the feature side," he said of the project, before naming Corrine Bailey Rae as one of the artists involved. According to Mick, the two worked on several records together, but only one will make the cut.

In the opening of the new song, which features some of Jenkins' most upfront, confrontational rapping, Jenkins says "can't nobody come for me 'cept Kendrick." That confident energy will be seen throughout the project, according to the rapper. "Bruce Banner, the mathematician, the guy putting it together -- but there is an actual Hulk in there, and he's coming out," he said. "That same hunger and energy is definitely going to be bleeding through this record."

The new music will also reflect the time Mick has taken to really think about where he's been and where he's going. "I'm in a space where I've had time to assess what I've got going on," he said. "I assessed my career, I assessed my business, I assessed my mind. I took a lot of 2017 and 2018 to like, get everything as far as that goes together... I'm ready to step back out and let everybody know what I'm working with."
