"European size, that's a 42," sings Swae Lee as he shows off his Balenciaga Triple S sneakers, which display the size on the toe. Rae Sremmurd has had a big year, releasing three albums in one with SR3MM, Swaecation and Jxmtro. The duo has proven to have an ear for beats, working regularly with Mike Will Made-It to create some bangers. In the past, they've crafted "No Type" and "No Flex Zone" and while they haven't had a hit as commercially successful as those two since, their solo work has catapulted them even further into superstardom.
Today, Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi connect to deliver the visuals for "42." Considering how many high-profile features are on the project, it's an interesting choice for a video but considering it is one of the most instantly recognizable songs from SR3MM, it makes sense. The group opts for a home movie aesthetic, sharing behind-the-scenes footage from their tour as Swae wraps himself up in all the designer clothing that's been provided to them. The singer blocks his eyes with two different pairs of Balenciaga sneakers, making sure the "42" marking on the toe is in the camera's viewpoint. The editing is intentionally goofy as the transitions between shots will likely make you chuckle more often than not.
