There has been a lot of confusion surrounding Lil Wayne's recent stay at the hospital, due to a string of serious seizures. Media outlet TMZ has been slammed by several rappers who are friends of Wayne and were upset with the way they handled their reporting. Mack Maine was one of them, and now he shares how Weezy himself reacted when he found out about TMZ's reports.
While talking to Sway Calloway on MTV's RapFix Mack Maine said that Tunechi's jaw dropped when he found out what TMZ had been saying about him. "I was actually sitting right next to him, honestly, when it happened, and his mom was in the other room, and his face dropped," said the Young Money president. "I just saw it in his face, like, 'I can't believe that.' "
Mack continued, "A lot of blogs and stuff put out some foolishness, but that wasn't true. He has four kids. Imagine his daughter hearing that somewhere in school or something like that, so he wasn't too happy about that."
Mack also took the time to assure fans that Wayne is doing much better and thanked everyone for their support, "He's blessed, he's up, he's in good spirits, and we'd like to thank all the fans for the prayers. A lot of people reached out and showed love, but Wayne's at home, he's relaxing. He's actually been in good health for a minute. They just wanted to run a few tests on him, that's why they kept him longer than expected, but he's been good."
Hopefully Wayne will be recovered by the time his album, I Am Not A Human Being II, drops on March 26th.
