Cardi B has been the queen of 2018 thus far. For much of last year, the Bronx rapper's "Bodak Yellow" single intrigued listeners into hearing what else Cardi could bring to the table. With her album Invasion of Privacy arriving earlier this month, fans got to hear more than ever before from the artist. Opening up more than she had on either of her Gangsta Bitch Music mixtapes, Cardi has been the talk of the town in many areas of North America. As arguably the buzziest new artist, the confirmation of her much-rumored pregnancy brought forth a high amount of fanfare, as well as surprising criticism. Sticking up for her sister, Hennessy Carolina spoke to People magazine about Cardi's pregnancy and her mindset.
Some critics mentioned the New York starlet on social media, claiming that a baby could slow down her quickly blossoming career. While Cardi has no issues standing up for herself, Hennessy spoke up for her this time, noting that a baby is a blessing and questioning, "Why would you talk about it like it’s a bad thing? My sister is such a good person, I wouldn’t want nobody to talk bad about her. It really hurts." Freshly after Cardi's "finally free" declaration broke out after her SNL performance, her sister echoed the same sentiment, telling People, "I know she’s happy and she’s free. She can go out and eat food, not hide what she wants to wear."
Do you think giving birth will affect Cardi's career or will she only continue to rise to the top of the totem pole?
