Late last month, it was reported that Fabolous had assaulted Emily B leading to his arrest. A video surfaced of Fab threatening her by saying he "has a bullet with her name on it" and striking her a total of seven times. The footage was shocking and many had something to say about it as domestic violence becomes an unfortunately recurring theme within some of hip-hop. With XXXTentacion and YoungBoy Never Broke Again facing similar outbreaks involving videos of physical altercations with their significant others, many hoped the Fabolous news was false.
With his case ongoing, it is impossible to judge which way the ruling will go but Fab faces up to five years in prison if proven guilty. According to Bossip, Fabolous has asked for his case to be delayed without giving a reason. The rapper was scheduled to appear in court today but, at the last minute, his lawyers requested for the date to be rescheduled, which was granted in the form of a three-week reprieve. The court date will be Fab's first in association with the charges of aggravated assault and making terroristic threats against Emily B.
If the "You Be Killin Em'" rapper is convicted of aggravated assault, he faces anywhere between three to five years in prison. We will continue to search for any updates on his legal situation.
