The Avengers need all the help they can get defeating Thanos. After the Mad Titan acquired all of the Infinity Stones and snapped away half of all life in the galaxy, several of Earth's Mightiest Heroes were killed. Although they may have a much smaller roster, the Avengers will undoubtedly find a way to win, it is a Disney film after all. During the Avengers: Infinity War post-credits scene, Nicky Fury sends a distress call out to Captain Marvel, the strongest character to enter the MCU so far.
Brie Larson, who is set to play Captain Marvel, will be the first actress in the MCU to get her own solo film. Captain Marvel takes place in the 90's, and Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige has confirmed that Samuel L. Jackson, who co-stars in the movie, will be digital de-aged for the entire film. The plot will center around Carol Danvers as she ventures into space and becomes entangled in a space war. Her DNA is combined with that of Captain Mar-Vell (Jude Law), and she is given amazing powers. Larson recently took to Twitter to announce that she has finished filming for Captain Marvel. Now that the filming is complete, it will take Marvel Studios the rest of the year to clean things up in post-production. Captain Marvel hits theaters on March 8, 2019.
