We've been waiting on new music from Busta Rhymes for a minute now. He's a legend in the rap game with years under his belt and several records to prove that statement. Last year, he dropped a few songs here and there but he was definitely doing more features than anything else. Back in August, he dropped "Girlfriend" with Canadian rapper Tory Lanez and the Jamaican dancehall legend, Vybz Kartel. However, he hasn't dropped anything new since then but it looks like that'll change this week.
Busta Rhymes is gearing up to drop a new single this Friday alongside Missy Elliot and Kelly Rowland. Missy revealed it on Twitter earlier tonight. She wrote, "BRAND NEW BUSTA MISSY KELLY DROPPING TOMORROW NIGHT AT MIDNIGHT!! 2.2.18 IT’S TIME!!" along with the song's cover art. It's exciting to hear considering all three artists are legendary and we haven't heard much music from any of them in quite sometime. The last thing we heard from Missy was at the top of 2017 when she released "I'm Better" featuring Lamb. Needless to say, it'll probably be something you'll have on rotation on your weekend playlist.
Busta and Missy are no strangers to each other. They've collaborated numerous times on each other's albums and the most recent one was Busta's "Touch It (Remix)" from 2006 so it's nice to see them reunite after such a long time.
On top of the new song, Busta and Missy Elliot also recently starred in Doritos and Mountain Dew's Super Bowl commercial which also featured Morgan Freeman and Peter Dinklage. You could check that out here.
