New York clothing brand rag & bone has released a new capsule collection with none other than Eminem. The news comes six months after the Detroit rapper released his 9th album, Revival, which did not do so hot with the critics. Maybe following in the footsteps of Andre 3000, Kanye West and A$AP Rocky, by dipping his toe into the fashion world is the revival Marshal Mathers really needs.
The collection itself was announced through the rag & bone website and Instagram account with a video accompanied by a gushing message from Marcus Wainwright, the founder, CEO and creative director of the brand: “Eminem is a legend, it’s as simple as that. We have spent years working to collaborate with true originals. People who have forged their own path in life. For me, Eminem utterly personifies ‘original’. Working with him on this project was humbling, inspiring and generally awesome.”
The collection will consist of three hoodies and three t-shirts all designed by Eminem and made in the USA, which will be available to buy on the rag&bone website on July 14th and at a pop-up shop the day before at The Sun & 13 Cantons pub in London.
The promo video for the collections is full of high-tech computer sounds and heads-up-display graphics and looks a little like the 2018 update to Eminem's Chrysler ad from a few years back. Watch it below:
