The Game has apologized for his mistake.

The Drew League is a pro-am summer basketball league that pits some of the nations best players against each other. NBA players have made appearances, such as James Harden, Chris Paul, and Russell Westbrook, but the league is filled with international players, aspiring young ballers, and celebrities. The Game, who plays for Birdie’s Revenge, attacked one of his own players while competing against Redemption.

A member of the Redemption team was taking free throws when The Game swung and hit his teammate Jarion Henry. Henry immediately squares up with The Game, who appears to get one more swing on Henry before he hits the ground. A mob of players and observers hit the floor and separated the fight, but everyone was left wondering why The Game would hit his own teammate.

The Game took to Instagram to apologize for his actions, which led his team to lose the playoff game. "Today was a tough one for me & my @drewleague team as we lost in the 2nd round of the playoffs by 2 points after winning the championship last season," he began. The lengthy apology extends down the post.  " I say that to say, I’m writing this sincere apology 1st & foremost to my teammate & lil brother @j_hennn for my role in our disagreement that went a lot further than it should’ve."
