There's a brand new Carmelo Anthony-inspired Air Jordan in the works, this time taking shape in the form of an Air Jordan 13. The kicks, part of Jordan Brand's "Back To School" collection, celebrate Melo's time playing for the storied Oak Hill Academy as a teenager.
The unique 13s feature a black and gold color scheme with red accents, built on a combination of leather, nylon and suede. Additionally, the 13s include special detailing such as "Class of 2002" text and Melo's logo on the right insole. The "Class of 2002" Air Jordan 13 is officially slated to release on September 15 for the retail price of $190.
As mentioned earlier, the special edition kicks are part of a larger "Back To School" Air Jordan collection which also includes the recently released Russell Westbrook Air Jordan 10 and an upcoming green suede "Class of 2003" Air Jordan 12 inspired by Chris Paul's old high school.
