NBA Commissioner Adam Silver reportedly had his life threatened by a man who demanded to play in the league.
According to a report by The New York Post, 27-year old David Pyant allegedly sent an email to the NBA offices in July that read, "If you don't let me play, I'm going to come up there and kill you with my fucking gun."
Pyant, of South Jamaica, was arrested Friday for the threat and charged with aggravated harassment but was later released without bail, according to the report. It's unclear what prompted the threatening email.
A judge issued a temporary restraining order in the case to keep Pyant away from Silver. The Post states that Pyant has 13 prior arrests and has served time in prison for robbery.
