Talking about the exchange of diss records, Joey Bada$$ says it was "too easy," and feels he "killed" Lil B.

Perhaps not getting around to listening to Joey Bada$$1999 mixtape until this week, Lil B took exception to a line on “Survival Tactics,” where Capital STEEZ says “...tell the Based God don’t quit his day job.”  Taking it to Twitter, the Based God called out Joey, perhaps not knowing who threw the line, or just not caring.  Shortly after, he dropped a Joey diss record “I’m The Bada$$”, which he called a “warning shot.”  Now the Pro Era rapper talks about his responding diss track and feels he “killed” Lil B on it.

Talking to MTV, the young New York rapper was asked about how the “Don’t Quit Your Day Job” Lil B diss came together, "I just linked up with my homey Ben, and he played this beat and was like, 'Yo, Lil B dis record?' And I was like, 'Oh, a'ight.'”

Although he feels he maybe should not have responded, it’s a point of pride for Bada$$ to flex his lyrical skill when someone comes at him, and in this case he thought it was “too easy,” saying, “if somebody sends a jab at me, I'll just send one twice as hard. I really didn't have to respond, I don't feel so, but I just did it. I don't know why.” Joey goes onto add, “[Actually] it's too easy, that's what it is. It's too easy, so I thought, 'Why not?' I'm just flexing my skill on him."

Asked if he expects a retaliation record from the Cali rapper, Joey does not, because he feels he handled Lil B during the exchange, “"No, no, no...I killed him. He shouldn't even attempt to do anything again."
