The 36th annual Just for Laughs festival is set to take place in Montreal this summer, with Tiffany Haddish and Kevin Hart tapped to headline the comedy event. Jo Koy, Jimmy Karr and Trevor Noah were also announced to join in on this year's festivities.
The Daily Show host will return to the festival and host two of the five galas planned that will take place on Saturday, July 28 at 6 and 8:30PM at Salle Wilfrid-Pelletier at Place des Arts.
Haddish, the breakout star from last year's hit film Girls Trip, will host her very first Just for Laughs event, bringing her unique brand of comedy to the masses. Her fete will be appropriately titled The Tiffany Haddish Gala and will feature a slew of other hilarious comedians and special guests for the one-time show; expect an arsenal of crude wisecracks.
Just for Laughs will also reintroduce its club series that will include: The Ethnic Show and The Nasty Show with Maz Jobrani, Gina Brillon, Francisco Ramos, Matteo Lane, Orny Adams, Robert Kelly, Brad Williams, Nikki Glaser, Mike Britt, Ms. Pat and Derek Seguin. These performances will be in addition to "The Kevin Hart Irresponsible Tour," which will act as the nucleus for this year's proceedings.
