DC is making moves.

Whether you're a Marvel Comics or DC Comics fan, it's hard not to agree that Marvel is churning out the much better movies of the two. Even if you did enjoy Justice League, Suicide Squad, or Batman V. Superman, those blockbusters hardly compare to films like Captain America: Civil War, Black Panther, or the first Avengers. Wonder Woman may be the only DC Comics movie that is respected by both fans and critics alike. Warner Bros. Pictures distributes the DC Comics movies, and apparently, they're ready to step their game up.

According to EWWarner Bros. has recruited Steven Spielberg to produce the film Blackhawk. In a surprising announcement, Warner Bros. and Steven Spielberg revealed that they plan on bringing the squad of comic book WWII pilots to the silver screen. “It was wonderful working with the team at Warner Bros. to bring Ready Player One to the screen,” Spielberg stated. “They bring a blend of passion and professionalism to everything they do and have a tremendous history in this genre. I am excited to reunite with them on Blackhawk.”  Spielberg will most likely be directing the film as well.

Speilberg is no stranger to WWII films, he has helmed classics such as Saving Private Ryan, Schindler's List, and Empire of the Sun. David Koepp (Jurassic Park, Mission: Impossible, Spider-Man) will be penning the script.
