Ayton is going pro, in a surprise to no one.

University of Arizona star freshman DeAndre Ayton has officially announced that he'll enter the 2018 NBA Draft, just as everyone had expected. The 7'1, 260 pound center is expected to be selected no later than the Top-3, with some mock drafts pegging him as the #1 overall pick.

Ayton shared the news today in a video posted on twitter which featured highlights of his lone season with the Wildcats accompanied by Drake's "God's Plan."

"I’m just a kid from the Bahamas who came to the States when I was 12 years old with a dream. I can’t say anything about this journey other than that it’s God’s Plan Next Stop: 2018 NBA Draft #BullySeason #242toTheWorld"

The 19-year old big man started all 35 games for the Wildcats this season averaging 20.1 points on 61% shooting with 11.6 rebounds and 1.9 blocks. He also won the Pac-12 Player of the Year Award, becoming the first freshman to earn that honor since Kevin Love did it at UCLA during the 2007-08 year. Ayton also led the Wildcats to their seventh Pac-12 championship.
