John Wall wasn't the only member of the Washington Wizards who was being chirped by Drake last night in Toronto. Washington's Kelly Oubre Jr. also heard it from the Raptors global ambassador during Toronto's 130-119 Game 2 victory.
After the game, a reporter asked Oubre Jr. about Drake calling him a "bum" as he ran down the court, and Oubre had nothing but praise for the Toronto rapper. In fact, the 22-year old forward even said he and Drake hang out "on the A-list tip" out in Los Angeles during the Summer. "That’s my guy though. I see him in the summer time... we pretty much run the streets of LA together, on the A-list tip, not in the hood way. He is a great rapper.”
However, internet sleuths were quick to pull the receipts on some of Oubre's old tweets which included a post from 2011 that reads, "Drake has NO swaaaaaagg." Immediately after returning to the locker room last night Oubre deleted the tweet, but the screenshots live on.
Oubre Jr. finished with 14 points and five rebounds in 30 minutes off the bench last night, as he and the Wizards return to the nation's capital for a pivotal Game 3 on Friday night. That game is scheduled to tip off at 8:00pm ET and will air on ESPN 2.
