Dave Chappelle spent years in relative obscurity after walking away from his legendary Comedy Central series. Fans of the comedian wished for his return, and their prayers were answered two years ago when Dave slowly started popping up again. He started by doing small appearances here and there, and then he signed a multi-million dollar deal with Netflix that put him back on center stage. At the same time, Chappelle took up a residency at New York's Radio City Music Hall for weeks. His comeback continues this year, and now Jerry Seinfeld has announced that Chappelle will guest star on an episode of his Netflix series Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee.
Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee has been airing since 2012, and is on its tenth season. The first nine seasons premiered on Crackle, but the streaming giant Netflix will be releasing season ten. Seinfeld, who is a comedic legend himself, introduces his guest to a vintage car that he feels best represents them. Seinfeld then converses with this guest, unscripted, as they make their way to a cafe or restaurant for coffee. On Instagram, Seinfeld announced that Chappelle would ride alongside him for an episode in the upcoming season. “Dave Chappelle seems old and wise and young and different all at the same time. I don’t know how he does it," he wrote on the post. New episodes of Comedians In Cars Getting Coffee premier on July 6.
