Nicki Minaj and Ariana Grande's collaborations are getting more and more frequent with both "The Light Is Coming" and "B.E.D." dropping within the last few weeks. With joint albums between major artists becoming more and more frequent as well, the singles have caused fans to clamor for a full-length collaboration between the artists -- a demand Nicki confirmed with a Twitter poll.
"Y’all, should Ari & I do an album together one day?" she wrote, including only one option that did not contain a "YASSS" with too many "S"s to count. That result ("hmmmmmmmm" if you were wondering) unsurprisingly ended up being the least popular choice, making it clear where the fandom stands on the potential album. Grande herself also indicated she was down in her own quote tweet. "duh, rose," she wrote.
Of course, if this album were ever to happen, it would have to come after both Nicki and Ariana release their upcoming albums (coincidentally, both are now on their fourth). Nicki's Queen arrives on August 10th, while Ariana's Sweetener comes a week later on the 17th. So whether or not the collab album ever comes about, fans will have a lot of new music from both Nicki and Ariana in just over a month's time.
So far this year, we've seen joint albums from Jay-Z and Beyoncé (EVERYTHING IS LOVE) and Kanye West and Kid Cudi (Kids See Ghosts).
