Ronny J is making money moves. If you're unfamiliar with the young Floridian producer by name, you've no doubt heard his signature "Oh my God Ronny" tag, which may trigger PTSD flashes for those of you who binged Jersey Shore. In any case, Ronny has been moving like a God among men throughout the ranks of the new school. He has provided bangers for Ski Mask The Slump God, Lil Pump, Bhad Bhabie, Rich The Kid, Denzel Curry, Smokepurpp, and more. For many, his name has become synonymous with that distorted 808 vibe, with carefully orchestrated lo-fi mixing; there's a method to the perceived madness.
We've long knew that Ronny J has been securing the bag on Atlantic Records; in many ways, he's a must have for their young-leaning roster. It would appear the big wigs have come to understand the potential of their investment. Now, Ronny has earned himself the keys to the big boy offices. The production phenom recently announced that he would be starting his own label under Atlantic, called "Listen Up Forever." While he has yet to announce the inaugural artist, he promises that the news will come soon.
Salute to Ronny J for this one. It's inspirational to see a young artist hustle and originate his way to the top. No finesse required. Stay tuned for the follow-up on all things "Listen Up Forever."
