The sons, daughters, mother's and fathers of hip-hop are wishing the loved ones in their lives a Happy Mother's day this Sunday. Artists like Drake, Rihanna, and Nicki Minaj have honored their mothers on Instagram, while others have sent out messages to the mothers of their children, or if mother's themselves, expressed the joys they've experienced raising their children.
"Happy Mother’s Day to my fav’ !!!" Rihanna wrote of her mother, Monica Fenty. "sending love to all the mothers, the mothers to be, and the ones who stepped in to be mothers to those who can’t be with theirs today! God bless you not just today, but everyday for the thankless and selfless jobs that you do! You’re greatly appreciated!!"
Meanwhile, Drake sent out love to Sandy Graham, someone any fan of the rapper can easily recognize at this point. "Thank you mama for the nine months you carried me through...🌸 Happy Mother’s Day to all the goddesses world wide," he wrote.
Though not one to use social media himself (outside of the occasional cryptic post on Tumblr), even Frank Ocean was spotted this fine Mother's Day. Tonya Breaux, Frank's mom shared some photos from a trip to Venice with her son, revealing the two spent an "early Mother's Day together."
