Iconic California hip-hop group, Cypress Hill are set to release their first album in 8 years. The project, Elephants on Acid, is expected to drop this Friday, September 28. In the meantime, the group has been teasing the project with the release of a new track, “Locos.”
The group, made up of B-Real, Sen Dog, Eric Bobo, and DJ Muggs, stay true to the gritty style that fans have come to associate them with. As with many of their tracks, they've infused this performance with Latin influence merging English and Spanish lyrics delivered by collaborator Slick Jacken. Rapping over a dark and steady instrumental, the group rhymes about ruthlessly claiming what it theirs.
Quotable Lyrics
Weed and dough, and hoes, and hit and run
As we graspin' for more with our pockets full
Layin' down the plot, blueprints for another pull
Smokin' up the spot while I quit, we're invincible
